Looker Studio Dashboard — Clear Reports for Better Decisions
Custom Looker Studio dashboards connected to GA4, BigQuery, Search Console. Automated reporting, actionable KPIs.
Why Looker Studio
Google Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) is the most accessible reporting tool in the Google ecosystem. Free, natively connected to GA4, Google Ads, Search Console and BigQuery, it lets you centralize data in visual reports shareable via a simple link. Unlike GA4’s built-in reports, often limited in formatting and dimension cross-referencing, Looker Studio offers full freedom in data presentation.
The goal is not to create a dashboard that looks pretty but proves useless. A good dashboard answers specific questions: what is the cost per acquisition by channel this month? What is the conversion rate by device? How has the average order value evolved compared to last quarter? Every visualization has a purpose, every filter has a reason. Design serves readability, not aesthetics.
Data sources and connectors
The native GA4 connector covers common use cases, but it has limits: sampling on large volumes, inability to cross certain dimensions, and API quotas. To overcome these, we connect Looker Studio to BigQuery via the GA4-to-BigQuery export, which provides access to raw, unsampled data at event-level granularity.
Beyond GA4, we integrate your other business sources: Google Sheets for CRM data or manual targets, community connectors for Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Criteo, or your internal databases via connectors like Supermetrics or Funnel.io. The goal is to bring acquisition, behavior and conversion data together in a single report for a complete view of the customer journey.
Design and automation
Dashboard design follows a structured process. We start by identifying priority KPIs with your teams (marketing, product, leadership), then define the report structure: executive summary page, detailed pages by channel or objective, anomaly tracking page. Interactive filters (date, source, device, country) let each user explore data according to their needs.
Automation is key. Looker Studio reports update automatically on each visit, but we can go further: scheduled PDF email delivery, threshold alerts (conversion rate dropping more than 20%, cost per acquisition above a ceiling), and automatic annotations for key events (deployments, campaigns, incidents). The dashboard becomes a living steering tool, not a document reviewed once a month.
